Acne prone skin is skin that shows a propensity to develop blackheads (commonly called blackheads) and pimples. It is often oily and shiny because the sebaceous glands produce an excess of sebum which has the effect of blocking the duct of the sebaceous glands, which facilitates the proliferation of bacteria.
Acne usually develops on the face, neck, shoulders, chest and back, and its severity ranges from mild, moderate to severe.
In adulthood, you can see persistent acne, called late acne. It is characterized by the presence of blackheads and microcysts that have persisted since adolescence. But there can also be inflammatory lesions often linked to hormonal cycles. Finally at any age can manifest an inflammatory acne with the presence of papules (red buttons) and pustules (buttons with a white head) or blackheads.
